Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Awaaz app ("Awaaz", "we", "us") collects, why, and what choices you have. Awaaz is a streaming app for naat, kalam and Islamic content, published with Heera Media.
1. Using Awaaz without an account
You can use Awaaz as a guest. As a guest we do not ask for your name or email. Your favorites, playlists, recently played list, playback positions and downloads are stored only on your phone.
2. Information we collect when you sign in
- Email address — to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account. We do not use passwords.
- Display name — only if you choose to add one in your profile.
- Your library — favorites, playlists, recently played items and where you stopped in a naat or video, so they are available when you sign in on another phone.
3. Information we do not collect
- We do not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, files or location.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not sell your information.
- Downloaded naats and videos are saved in the app's private storage on your phone and are not uploaded anywhere.
4. Technical information
When the app streams content, our servers necessarily receive basic technical information such as your IP address and the requested file, as with any internet service. This is used only to deliver content and protect the service from abuse.
5. Service providers
We use trusted providers to run Awaaz. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — account sign-in and database (your email, display name and library).
- Cloudflare — storage and delivery of audio, video and images.
- Resend — sending the sign-in code email.
- Expo — delivering app updates.
6. How long we keep data
We keep your account data while your account exists. Downloads on your phone are removed automatically after 7 days, when you sign out, or when you remove them. When you delete your account, your email, profile and library are deleted from our database.
7. Your choices and rights
- Delete your account at any time: in the app go to Profile → Delete account. You can also request deletion on the web.
- Sign out to remove your library and downloads from that phone.
- Contact us to ask what data we hold about you or to correct it.
8. Children
Awaaz is a general audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Database access is restricted so each user can only read and change their own data. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you in the app.
